While I normally post about Men’s fashion, I decided to change it up with a post for the girls :).
When it comes to your wedding, every bride wants to be different or at the very least want something different. While veils are still traditional, bridal headpieces are coming to the fore at the moment. I am lucky enough to know a fantastic designer called Yvonne “Bonzie” Crotty.
I first heard of Bonzie from my fiance who has been a massive fan of hers for as long as I’ve known her. Even before we got engaged, Sandra always insisted whenever she was getting married, Bonzie was the person she would go to for her bridal headpiece. A veil never even came into her mind!
Bonzie who is based in Waterford City runs her own studio called Willow & Wild, which is based near Reginald’s Tower. This is situated at the bottom of the quay in Waterford in the area known as the Viking Triangle, which is the creative hub of the city.
Irish Designer Bonzie creates handcrafted fascinators and hair accessories for special occasion wear, creating unique pieces for Brides, Mother of the Bride or Groom, Racegoers, Holy Communion and many other special occasion.
Whether it is a sash, a headpiece or comb to complete that look, then you should take a look at her Facebook page or visit the studio to get a better feel for the pieces as Bonzie herself will tell you that the pictures don’t do the pieces justice at times.
I have been lucky enough to visit the studio on more than one occasion and all I can say is the pieces are amazing. The quality, the detail is just amazing! Bonzie describes it as a “treasure trove”. Think of a treasure chest from any pirate stories or movies you may have seen, thats exactly what the studio is. A quaint little building filled with wonderful pieces that your heart may desire.
Bonzies friendly manner and warm personality only adds to the charm of the studio. You will always be greeted with a smile and she will assist you with anything that is possible.
Finally, this part is for both the guys and the girls. As we all know not every girl wants to wear a dress on her wedding day. So for those girls who want to wear a suit, Bonzie has recently stocked a number of vintage inspired bow-ties that come in a range of colours and designs.
Adding to these final touches is also a stunning variety of vintage inspired jewellery and accessories, so you need not venture any further as Bonzie has you covered to complete your bridal look. You can always trust in Bonzie to make your look unique and complete.
I hope you girls and guys will check out Bonzie’s studio if you are travelling to Waterford in the near future. The Studio is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10-5. For more information you can visit Bonzies Facebook page here. https://www.facebook.com/Bonzie-102320094198/timeline
All the best,
